Haven't seen this posted anywhere. They published the fixtures a few weeks ago but I've only noticed now:

    Saturday April 30th – Greystones AC/IMC

Saturday May 7th- The Belfast International

Bank Holiday Monday June 6th- Bertie Quinn/IMC, Tullamore

Saturday June 18th – GV Ryan/IMC Meet Irishtown Stadium ( We are seeking to change this date due to the clash with Irl v Belgium Euro Champs)

Friday July 22nd The Morton Games

    Saturday July 30th Le Cheile/IMC

In theory they are open, but the standard is fairly hot to be honest. If you aren’t running at least 2:04 there really is no race for you over 800m in these meets. Similar standard over 1500m. They are great meets but they don’t really attempt to have more than A, B, C and D grades, unlike the Vic Milers Club meets in Melbourne which would have grades going back as far as J, K and L, with every standard catered for (though about 75% of the heats would be of IMC standard too). Having said that, if they did cater towards everyone, then there’d be no room in the schedule for sprint races (for which I am very grateful), and they run their events in conjunction with club meets like Crusaders, Le Cheile, Greystones, so it can’t be all middle distance.

I love these meets because they are supremely well organized and run on time, though they really could develop a better attitude towards field events. But if you want to dip your toe into 800 and 1500 I’d start out with the Graded Meets or County Championships and see how you get on there.

Thats fair enough, my 1500 is around 5:25 - 5:30 so this is not the place for me. I will do some of the graded meets or even just locally organised ones. Might drop out to view one or two of these.

    Thanks.
