. Cobh is not my place of residence and where I reside had no bearing on my comment .  Reading the link provided, I notice that there are no contaminants in the water in the Whitegate area of Co. Cork.  Yet there is a "Boil Water" notice in place with a week +.  Can you  explain this.

    Thank you Niall.

I'd like to ask 2 further questions.

Why not discuss the issue in public Niall?

Also, why the need for personal details, Niall?

    Thanks in advance,

As this "Extended boil water notice" clearly indicates that the water in the Whitegate and surrounding areas is not fit for purpose, will Irish Water reduce customers fresh water bills accordingly.

Thanks for that Mairead.  Will this discount be applied by Irish Waster or will each household have to apply for the discount as and when the boil water notice is in force
