    Hi
I have a lad looking for me to wire up an old phone ringer as his door bell. I know im not on the right forum but i cant find anything else to put this on. Phone lines are usually around 48v ac i think correct me if i'm wrong and do they go up around 110v ac when there ringing? I was thinking of just putting a transformer on the phone.

Thanks if anybody can help with this
