Backup Voice Memos?

Lads quick question the sister has important voice memos for her college work on her iPhone 5 and wants them safely backed up, does the normal iTunes sync to PC back these up and allow resync to a new iPhone 6? If not how can we safely back them up?

iCloud sync backs memos up. I've changed iPhones a few times over the past while due to apple care replacements and all my voice memos for the past several years are still in place so just turn on iCloud syncing if you havne't done so already and you should be OK.
