    Hi there,

Has anyone bought anything from the following site:
    http://en.eucomtech.eu/

I'm finding it very hard to find decent info on the reliability of his crowd. Any one have any experience.

Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

Never heard of them, but I'm sure if you pay with PayPal your fairly well covered...

I purchased 6 x 8tb archive hard drives from them in December. They all arrived and are working well. They were dispatched from Straubing, in Germany, and arrived 6 days later. link to the drives - http://en.eucomtech.eu/archive-hdd-8tb-sata.phtml

    Dogre, thanks for the reply.

I'm interested in them because they are by far the cheapest I've seen for a number of items including WD Red drives and also Synology NASs.

They're the exact drive I'm looking at for my HTPC, how do you find the read/write speeds?

    I'd be thinking again.

    Really??

I bought a WD Red 2TB from Amazon for 77 euro inc Free Shipping

Not comparable, databanks and home user conditions are a world apart, all hard drives fail

I'm looking for 6TB drives and a synology NAS. For the NAS and drives they are about 10% cheaper.

As regards to the Eucomtech site

I currently serious issues with them I was told they had 'dispatched' my order, but contrary to their web site information they have not provided the track and trace number, no name of carrier/ courier etc. So there is NO proof of dispatch

I have sent emails daily to their support email address asking for track and trace details and I have received NO replies apart from computerised ones and NO ONE answers the phone when I have called their UK number which is allegedly open 9am-2pm daily. Their complaints email address does not work

So my advice is not to order from them

Old thread and not relevant anymore.

Going forward if any issues with them use Consumer issues, or Online buying forum
