Fibre Connection

I signed up to fibre with my broadband provider. They told me that a technician would call to change the phone socket. The guy from KN came today. He rooted around a bit and then asked where the phone line comes into the house. I showed him the point where the cable comes into the house (under the path) but I think he was looking for some kind of a junction box. He also mentioned something about two cables. He told me that when we find out where the cable comes in he can come back to set me up and then left.
I actually don't know what he wanted or what I need to do.

Does this make any sense to anyone and what do I need to do to get fibre.

He was probably looking for something along the lines of that.
Mine was on a windowsill last place I lived.
