RTÉ+1 and News Now available free to air on 10744H 22000. I discovered them on my Freesat box during a manual scan. I wonder will they stay there. No epg info available.

Some of the Channel 4 channels about to move on there.......

Keep an eye on that spotbeam, as it'll be home to some new FTA content, possibly previously encrypted 4 Music.

You would think RTÉ News Now would be ok from a rights issue to leave FTA?

It should be as it is online for the whole world to see. It all depends on the kind of deal RTÉ made with Sky. Sky probably said they would pay for it to go on satellite but that it must be encrypted.

I also can't understand why RTE 1 HD is still blocked in Northern Ireland?

And RTE News Now and Oireachtas channel but not RTE1+1 which is 'in the clear.'
