I'm living in a standard 4 bed semi. Just looking for a ballpark figure as to how much it might cost to take out the existing bath and convert it to a shower? Is it a very expensive job?

No not typically that expensive, how long ago was the bath put in? Do you have spare tiles to repair the wall where the tiles are gone from?

    Shower cubicle €350
    Shower tray + waste €200
    Electric shower €250
    Tiles?
    Wiring for electric shower?

1-2 day for someone to strip out bath and sort plumbing out for shower, prep walls, put in shower tray.
1 day for tiling, floor tiles need to be done too?
1 day for installing shower enclosure and finish off everything.

    Guesstimate €1.5k?

Thanks for that. I'm actually getting the bathroom retiled anyway and the electric shower is actually already in place. The bath is there about 13 years, since the house was built. That's not too expensive at all.
