RTE,s switched from the UK Beam to the European Beam

    Anyone know why RTE have switched from the UK beam to European beam .
    Is it to keep the expats happy in Spain and Portugal .
    Just curious to know .:rolleyes:

    In theory, it will allow some channels which are currently encrypted to go free-to-air on the freed-up spot beam, without having to worry about their content being viewed outside Ireland and Britain.

    Those channels being UK based.

    There are more UKTV channels in line, but this is possibly something from the Channel4 stable.
