    Hi guys,

I'm looking at booking flights with this airline (Amsterdam - Hong Kong - Sydney) and I'm just wondering if anyone has any reviews on them? would you recommend? comfortable seats/reclining?

    Appreciate all replies.

    Thanks :)

Generally considered one of the better airlines out there. Good entertainment, food, crew etc. Seating in economy..well it's economy ;)

Iirc Cathay economy seats recline into your own space rather than back so the person in front of you reclining their seat doesn't affect your personal space

I flew with them from Hanoi - Hong Kong - Tokyo and I was very impressed.. Food was decent.. Leg room was very good (I'm 6ft 1)

The only thing that I'd have an issue with is, every time you watch something on the in flight entertainment there's a million minutes (not really :D) of ads

Other than that.. highly recommend flying them

I'm due to fly with Cathay Pacific in a few weeks shortly from Cork via Amsterdam to Hong Kong. They seem to be a decent airline from all my research although their 20kgs luggage is very stingy for longhaul. Their flightpath East over Russia cuts a few hours off the journey time into East Asia compared flying via the Gulf for example. Cathay Pacifics Boeing 777-300ers are 9 a-breast 3-3-3 seating compared to many airlines who squeeze in ten seats 3-4-3 so comfort wise that is a big boost also. Although they are going 10 a-breast later in 2016 as far as I know.

Thanks a lot for your reply. That is the exact route that I would be doing if I book with them. Yes, the 20kg luggage restriction is abit of a bummer! I remember flying with Malaysian Airlines and they allowed for 30kg! Which was fantastic. But I think because Cathay are coming in cheaper for me and I'd like to see Hong Kong, it would make sense to book with them :)
