Just a warning to anyone who owns one of these vehicles.Check your clutch pedal pivot nut and bolt.We have changed about 2 clutch master cylinders due to this nut loosening and then the pedal pushes the plastic pushrod in a skewed position and it may snap it off.

Now I used to check it from time to time, but I haven't in a while, but an slight incident today brought me back to reality:P.

I was travelling today when I noticed something fall on my foot, seeing as I was driving, I could not check it but then I forgot about it.So when I arrived in a (hilly) supermarket, and went to depress the clutch and....................................yes, the pedal went all floppy.I then stalled the vehicle:o, I eventually managed to get the car moving into a space.

So there I was under the dash in the rain, trying to get the bolt back into position which I finally did.I was afraid that the pushrod was broken, but luckily it is fine..............phew!!

Now some cars might not be affected at all, but some maybe are, so if there is sideways movement of the pedal, then either tighten the nut, or have someone do it.I dont know if there is supposed to be a locking device,SO BE WARNED

Sorry for the the long winded post
