Roughly how much would it cost to renovate a semi detached house that less than 70 square metres? We're talking new fitted kitchen, plumbing and electrical work, replacing outdated decor like wallpaper, carpets, etc in living room, bedrooms.
Would it be best to get a surveyor or builder to oversee this work?
How long would such renovations generally take?
Thanks in advance for any help.

How long is a piece of string?

It depends on the spec you want.

Minimun 10k for fitted and tiled kitchen, maybe 5k for a bathroom, add electrical and carpets and painting, another 10k+

If you want to gold plate everything, it could be 100k+

It really depends on the state of the original and the level you want to bring it to, people on the internet aren't going to be able to answer you and if they do, don't believe them. :)

Get an itemised builder quote then you will have a ballpark figure of overall cost. Then maybe look to use direct labour for each job and that should save you a lot of money.

    Good luck with your project
