Garmin 810 not picking up speed/cadence sensors

I got a Garmin Edge 810 last week and it picks up my Garmin HRM Fine but when using it for a Ride I can't get HRM info on screen.

My Garmin speed & cadence sensors are paired with my Forerunner 920 watch.

I've tried turning off the watch but the 810 won't pickup either sensor even with the 920 powered off. I've tried this over several indoor turbo and outdoor spins.

    Any ideas?

Isn't there some sort of reset button on the sensors? I have an older speed/cadence combo sensor where you had to hold the button for a few seconds to get it to pair properly. I also have the newer separate ones, maybe they also have a reset button? Failing that, maybe it's as simple as the batteries needing to be changed? As for the hrm not showing on the Edge 810, I assume you've set up a screen which shows the HR data?

Aside from the lock/unlock option for the battery slot I can't see any other switch/button etc

Have you tried unpairing everything (including the 920)-basically reset everything and see if you can pair then. It might also be a good idea to make sure the 810 firmware is the latest version. If that doesn't work, I'd just get in touch with Garmin-in my experience, their customer service is ok.

Thanks was planning on doing that - will do it this evening.

Pretty sure the 810 is up to date, will double check this evening

theres a tiny little clear button on the bottom right. youd need somthing like a pointy knife or small screw driver head to push it. it lights up when you push and reset it. just make sure aswell the magnets on the wheels & cranks havent moved aswell

Have you searched for sensor on the head unit, I now when I was pairing second on to my unit I had to search again
    If not try resetting it

If it's the new seperate speed and cadence sensors, then you will have to adjust the settings and scan for sensors seperately. There will be seperate selections on the menu for speed only and cadence only. If you cannot see these then you need to update firmware.
Selecting speed/cadence as per the old combined sensor will not work.

Sensors need to be active when pairing also so spin the cranks/wheels while scanning.

Have you made sure you've moved the bike to wake up the sensors first. Quick spin of the pedals with the rear wheel in the air, then try pairing them.

They are seperate sensors alright - didn't see the menu to search for one or other but will check for f/w update and then follow your suggestions

Updated the F/w to latest version, removed the sensors from the Forerunner, powered on the 810, started spinning the wheels and tried finding both - no joy.

I couldn't see the option to search for seperate sensors - I'm on latest f/w..any ideas?

Take the battery out and put it in the wrong way around. It shorts the sensor and will let you re-pair. Took me a lot of Internet crawling on the garmin forums to find that gem. Worked for me anyway.

On 810 goto settings, then bike profiles then select ant sensors.
Hit search all and spin cranks/wheels.

If the sensors are pairing with your 920 then they are working fine, the signal is being sent you can have both on at once if you want.

    You have a pairing issue.

Garmin support website is a good place to look for solutions.

Did that & got a flashing green light on the speed sensor - a search found it after - also deleted the two other bike profiles.

Also followed the suggestions of clog and between the two, the search found both sensors first time.

Thanks to you both and the other posters who contributed!
