An hour has been cut off the Chris and Ciara show. WTF ? I thought they were considered the up and coming stars of Irish radio.

Off at the start or end of the show?

I thought they were considered the up and coming stars of Irish radio.
I doubt they even believed that themselves.

Chris can be witty and insightful but I feel he's slightly restricted by what he can say on radio, as opposed to what he'd like to say, which I suspect would be far more interesting. I listened to them on iradio back in the day but grew out of them after doing the leaving cert tbh.

I think I heard Chris say it might only be for a while, they don't really spend much of the last hour talking, maybe they're just trying to make it a more condensed show, maybe a cost cutting measure by 2FM.

I know Chris is a divisive figure but I think the show is excellent, he has a good dynamic with Ciara and it has some great regular features like Archives With Aifric, the weekly chat with Blindboy from the Rubberbandits, the Galway Player and top 5 chart in a non western country.

At least some proper music with dan hegarty is being moved to an hour earlier to midnight, even though it is a repeat of his 2XM morning show.

Always liked them on Iradio, kinda felt a bit like what Ray Foley was like back on The Blast, have never really listened on 2fm. Wonder where they could go from here? Was always a little on the edge on I, no where else to move on 2fm now and they'd have to tone it down a bit. Wonder did Iradio try to tempt them back during the recent reshuffle.

That 'Galway player' sounds like a right bollox. You can hear the disgust in ciaras voice when he's on talking his sh1te

I'm fairly certain he's just taking the piss of those pick up artist types, even if he's not Ciara's indignant response to him makes it entertaining anyway.

I'd say Ciara's tone is part of the show. I love archives with Aifric. Jesus there was some ****e broadcast on rte tv and radio in the past. The FCNG is great and Emma "oh yes" power is gas and blindboy is nothing like you'd expect him to be. He's clearly a clever lad.

And also Ciara's diary is some of the most unintentionally funny stuff I've ever heard.

The lads are covering for eoghan McDermott this week. Weird to hear the lads on in the daytime.

Thought they did quite well, Archives With Aifric was as hilariously surreal as usual.

First time hearing this duo. Chris.. Way too fascinated by the sound of his own voice, it's dominates too much and poor Ciara seems to play second fiddle chipping in only the odd word here or there. And why do presenters insist in giving the time every time they talk, absolutely no need especially at this time of the day.

She is second fiddle. Chris is the one with the creative talent.

Blindboy was brilliant talking about McGregor.

I love the top five chart in a non-western country

Great show to listen to when I can tune into it with the Agony Aunt bit being one of my favs. Few weeks back they were filling into the drive time slot and thought it worked really well, much better the normal presenter that does the show. First time in a long time I tuned into 2FM on the drive home from work.

I love listening to Blindboy, very interesting chat on online comment sections, he picks some interesting songs too.

According to Blindboy it was a doctor from Limerick that introduced the medical use of cannabis to the western world.

Well you can't say the show isn't educational.

No Chris & Ciara from 12-1 is still a balls. All the other stations are either playing repeats of the morning talk show or else random obscure stuff to fill their 'quotas'
