    Hi Guys,

I am just wondering if someone knows if there are any retailers that sell engineering books, preferably in the Cork area.
I don't want to purchase them online, nor am I interested in Ebooks, I am just looking for somewhere I could walk in and buy them off the shelf.

The books I'm currently interested are titles such as Machinery's Handbook and Shigley's Mechanical Engineering Design.

    Thanks in advance.

In Dublin the only shops that would sell any Eng books would be the very big city centre shops. Even then I think it might be just Hodges and Fidges.

You could try the book shops in CIT or UCG bookshops.

You have picked a very specialised subject.

Hodges and Fidges is where I'd go also. Not sure I have seen any else where but its some time since I've looked.

I now you said you don't want to do online.
Firstly, I find it very tough to buy what I want in bricks and mortar without a collosal wait for an order to come through.
    Secondly, they expensive.

If you want an old copy (1977) of Shigley - how much could have changed.... and it's only £5.
It'll tide you over until you grab a recent Ed.

Thanks everyone for the responses, the only reason I want to avoid buying online is because I want to use a One4All voucher for my purchases.

I'll be sure to check out Hodges Figgis the next time I am in Dublin all the same.

The One4All voucher probably narrows your choice even more!

Ask if the bookshop will order it for you and you pay them with the vouchers.

The last time I was in my local bookshop looking for a book they didn't have they said they could order it for me if I liked. They were looking on Amazon at the time.
