Psychogenic Pain

    Hello,

I am six weeks pregnant, I had an ectopic pregnancy last year and my fallopian tube removed. I've had a scan already to check everything is in the right place this time and it is, which is obviously great.

However last night I woke at 5am, experiencing the same ectopic pain on the other side of my body - leading me to believe something was wrong there. I was sobbing in fear and pain and said I would get up and go to docs this morning. Well I woke this morning with not a single bit of pain!

Something similar has happened before with a nightmare and a toothache, which also dissappeared after I slept.

Could my brain be making this all up, due to previous trauma? What can my doctor even do?
