    Hi all

We are looking for a dedicated, full time drummer.
Our current drummer is leaving due to family commitments.

The band is Point Blank, you can check us out on FB or on our website. We are Wexford based.
Candidate must be willing and available to travel, although we try to avoid long distance gigs( ie, over 2.5 hours) when possible.
Candidate must have their own travel.
Candidate must be able to play to a reasonable standard. Experience would be an advantage. But please do not be afraid to contact us if you haven't gigged full time before. Obviously you must have your own kit/equipment.
As we are Wexford based, please do not apply if you live further than an hours drive, as this just wouldn't work.
Our setlist is vast. Because we do venues and pubs, along with corporate and grads, plus Weddings, we have to be able to cater for all. So you must be happy enough to play any music.

A little about us... We are a Wexford based, 4 piece. We have been gigging for just about 10 years now. In the last 4/5 years we've decided to go into the Wedding market, professionally, and its going very well. Alot of Weddings coming in. We done a large number of Weddings last year, and off the back of that along with recording our Wedding promo video, we've been booked even more this year and next year. We do alot of promotion for this, and its something we do all the time. We still do pub/venue gigs, plus grads and parties. We do travel; Cork, Waterford, Kildare, Dublin etc.
Our complete setlist is always a work in progress, as we always add to it to keep it fresh and current. We have a Wedding setlist which we look to keep updated also. Both sets can be emailed across.
We have a pro pa and stage setup. 7.6kw rig, which is broken down to suit any gig. Complete professional setup.

    Wages will be discussed privately.
Please, no time wasters, this is a professional band. We hope to get the position filled within two months, as we've a busy summer ahead.
We will be setting up a audition day, the date of which will be emailed.
We need someone with a genuine love for the music business, not someone just happy to pickup the money.
Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

    Thanks for reading,
    Pat

    Hi Pat.
I'm replying to your advertisment for a drummer. I am professional and I teach drums also in 2 music schools. I have been in various wedding bands previously. I am professional over 25 years and have all the requirements you request and I am available for gigs. However I do live in Dublin but I have family living in both Gorey and Wexford town, so its not a huge issue for travelling down. Give me a bell if you wish.
    Regards,
Tom Dunne (not from something happens and the radio!!!)

    Hi Pat,
Just wondering if your still looking for a drummer? I have been playing drums since I was 13 but semi professional on and off for the last 20 years I am in my late 40's I have my own transport and a nice pearl export kit.I had a look at your video on Facebook , very good and vocals great, I can do backing vocals and have been know to do a mean Roy Orbisson.
So if your holding any auditions anytime i would love to take part. I live in Arklow so close enough,
But if you have found a drummer, I wish you every success for the future,
    Thanks
    John Byrne
