I'm looking to buy a smart black shirt to wear going out. I'm looking for something that is a bit better quality than marks and Spencer shirts, which look more suitable for work and often contain polyester. I'm prepared to spend up to about 80 euro. Dublin based. Late 30s. Not a fan of places like top shop which are aimed at younger guys.

    Any suggestions? Many thanks.

T M Lewin, South Anne St.

I got a very nice black shirt there, for Mr March one Christmas. Wasn't shockingly expensive, though not cheap. And still looks good.

Ted baker could be another brand to have a look at

But one of my fave brand to get a shirt from would be Selected there a sister company to Jack Jones but way better quilty. I think BT 2 in Dublin stocks it.

It could be worth while takeing a trip down to Kildare outlet ?. As you could pick up 2 designer shirts there for less then 80 if there is good sales on.

Also have a look in TK maxx you could pick out a bargain in there.
