is it common for women who have been raped to project unsolved issues onto their children?

i suspect my mother may have been raped as a child and never dealt with it properly.

I really don't think anyone here is qualified to answer a question in such broad terms. Personal Issues is not really a conversational forum in that sense or one for general debate but I'm sure if you have a specific issue that is causing you distress currently and you'd like to ask people's advice then you are welcome to do so.

    hi op
have you tried speaking to your mother about this issue?
i realise it's a very emotive and difficult subject and it mybe that speaking to a professional yourself may be of some help.

    best of luck
