Building into a bank

    Hi,

I have built my garage into a 4-5 foot high bank on 3 sides.

Currently there is a gap of approximately 60cm all the way around.

The plan is to put drainage at the bottom and then tank/seal the outside of the garage to stop water getting in. Does anyone have any ideas of what materials I need?

Someone had suggested a paint on sealer, followed by a plastic sheeted seal, followed by boards of insulation (not for insulation purposes but to protect from the next step and I had a good bit lying around) and then back filled with gravel. Anyone any ideas which sealers I should be using?

    Many thanks,

    J

Sounds like you need the advice of a Civil/Structural Engineer.

Thats potentially a hell of a lot of weight/pressure against your garage wall...

That's a basement. There's a lot of engineering detailing to consider, so I wouldn't chance it.
