So a frined tried purchasing tickets yesterday for Bruce on ticketmaster, got brought onto a different website called getmein and purchased two tickets for two and a half times the price thinking he was buying genuine tickets from ticketmaster. It seems this website is like an ebay version for ticket sales.

Is there anyway to cancel these tickets ad get a refund? How anyone used this site before or heard of an issues with it? I think he is going to try cancel the transaction with the CC company whether that works or not im not sure. Any advice?

if its getmein.com its a ticket master website
    Can I cancel my order?
Because we’re a secondary sales website we don’t actually own any of the tickets sold through our site, so we can’t cancel and refund an order unless the event has been cancelled entirely and the organisers are offering refunds (this is shown in section 3.6 of your User Agreement) – but you're welcome to resell your tickets instead, if you can’t make it. Take a look here for more details.

So in short no, cancelling because you have a regret about the price isn't something you can do.

They can try but I don't think credit card company will do anything for your fried as he/she bought the tickets knowing what they were getting, so was a legit transaction.

Ticketmaster also own Seatwave, looks like same idea, I looked at them a few months back, they are just a platform for seller to sell unwanted tickets at a profit, seller is who decides the price, Seatwave/Getmein add their commission on top of that. Buyer sees the sell price on top of that they add their commission again. Tickets come from the seller not from ticketmaster, seller gets paid about 2 weeks after in case tickets are reported as not received (if they are paper ticket) or sold and email tickets several times (etickets)

Yeah thought as much, they weren't used to bookings tickets and panicked a bit when they had the option to buy and regretfully went ahead anyway!
