Not being charged USC

    Hi,
I have not paid usc since the beginning of the year due to my income being assumed to be less than 13,000 when in actuality my income for the year will be significantly more. A
similar situation occurred last year and I had a big bill in the middle of the year.

How do I inform revenue that they are not taking the usc and get it rectified? Can I do it online via PAYE anytime? Or do I need to go to my employer?
    Thanks everyone

Phoning them, armed with your PPS Number is the quickest

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

Put your PPS number into the contact locator to get your local Revenue PAYE district, and give them a call.

Its just another stupid anomaly in the direct taxation system in Ireland .

Follow the advice above and you are sorted , but what about the other 18/20,000 paye workers who earn in the region of 10 to 15,000 euro.

If like you , they are deemed exempt , they will not have to pay USC and will probably get away with it unless they ask for a balancing statement after year-end .

If they are deemed exempt and earn in excess of the 12,012 in 2015 , and request a balancing statement , they might be slapped with a hefty bill and end up paying the amount back over the following 3 years .
