    You have to ask what on earth were they doing going out in such a bad storm, will their insurance pay out. They could easily have lost the ship

    I was on crossing once where it was so rough that it was impossible to walk without holding on to something keep from being lifted clear off the ground yet not so much as a move from anything on the car deck.
    This must have been genuinely terrifying for the passengers. It takes a lot to overturn a truck...

    You'd have to wonder how it was lashed and how the load inside it was secured. A few years ago a spot check at holyhead found that 95% of semi trailers didn't have sufficient lashing points and 0% of tractors had lashing rings.

    Just reading the whole article and it seems the ferry was at sea for over a day longer than it should have been. As it had to divert to a quieter area of sea to wait the storm out. It must have been an dreadful experience. I just hope nobody had their cats and dogs in their cars/campers.
