I claimed tax relief on my health insurance last year online. Can't seem to remember how to do it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Did you file an e-Form 12? I don't think you can claim it via PAYE Anytime

You are not allowed to claim tax relief on payment of your health insurance.

You can only claim relief for medical expenses which have not been relieved in some other way ie if you claim money back from your insurance provider for medical expenses, you can only claim relief on the net amount.

If your employer paid your medical insurance on your behalf you can claim the tax relief on that.

Sorry for jumping in on this. I started a new job in April last year - my employer pays my health insurance for me.. How do I claim this back in tax? requested a P21 but they have not got my BIK health insurance payment down as a pre tax adjustment the way it is on my payslip should it counted as gross pay and taxed fully?

    Thanks

Get a letter from your employer confirming the amount of health insurance the paid for you for 2015 and submit to your local Revenue office. They will calculate any refund due.

If you are paying your health insurance by yourself, you may already be getting tax relief at source, eliminating the need to make a claim.
