Can't get fibre in a town that has fibre.

The cabinet in our estate seems to be the only one in the town that we live, that is not fibre enabled. I understand there could be many reasons for this but who do I contact to find out why and what can be done to change it? Would it be the bb provider or eir?

They won't tell you, its managed by BB architects in eir HQ in Dublin 2 but they have no contact with members of the public. All you'll get is "there are no plans to deploy an FTTC cab there at this time".

You can check local planning applications in case somebody objected. If it was the ESB who said no you won't know, and if the council denied civils that might be on public record, not sure there.

If you want something to change contact your local TD.

Had a feeling it might be hard to find out. I've asked reps and contractors about it but they could not tell me. I'll have a look at the planing, cheers.
