    Hi ,

I linked my bank a/c to my PayPal some years ago before all the IBAN and BIC numbers were used the account just has the normal sort code and account number , is this a problem now or should the money transfer ok ? They never informed me that I needed to update the account with my IBAN or BIC.

I haven't tested but there shouldn't be any issues using it as Paypal should be able to automatically generate the IBAN from the bank details, have you check if paypal what you see there, it might already show the IBAN number.

Thanks for that :) I was thinking the same I checked on my PayPal and it's just the regular bank a/c number still on there if I tried adding a new bank a/c it asks for the IBAN . They emailed me and said the money is on the way to my bank and will take 1-2 days will have to see how it goes I'd say everything should be fine though.

There are online number generators to get your IBAN and BIC, with bank of ireland anyway. Just in case you don't have it and do need it.

Thanks yeah I have it on my internet banking :) I just wasn't sure if my transfer would go to my bank since I had the regular account number and sort code instead of the IBAN and BIC .
