Can anyone recommend an ideal plant for a porch area?

    Hi,

What types of plants would be best for inside a small porch at our front door?
I'm looking for two tall plants, one for each side, mainly for decorative purpose but also to slightly block the view through the panes of glass on each side of the door.
Something that would love sunlight and warmth as it will be a sun trap during summer....but it is quite cold in there at the moment.

    Any ideas?

I've seen geraniums growing well in a porch but they might not have the height you are looking for.

Bay leaf might be an option? They would not be likely to be damaged by the cold in a porch.
