    Hey,

Just wondering if anyone else has had to do this recently and the price they were quoted? Trying to shop around and see what it's coming in at. All in and then just the parts anyone has been charged would be great.

Not fully sure what the labour / parts prices but I'd be interested in hearing your quotes. Down the line I'll probably do the same on my 1 series.

Obviously there will be a notable difference on prices quoted between main BMW dealers and independents - luckily the 320d is a common enough car so plenty of garages have done this sort of job before..

I paid €2099 for a 520D clutch and flywheel in BMW main dealer.
    Hows that grab you!

this might be a little bit off topic but can anyone help.

My reverse lights are gone and my mechanic says I'll need to go to main dealer to fix it. Would anyone here know what kinda price I'll be looking at?

    Its also a 06 320d

that's crazy..remember when I was trading in my 520D it needed a new clutch and flywheel. Salesman was saying it would cost €2500 and I jsut replied that the parts themselves were 700 and an indy say they'd fit the them for a 1000-1200 including the parts etc. He backed down once he realised I know the cost of the parts.

here you go..about 500-600 for the parts.

    Clutch Kit is about €250.00.
    Flywheel is about €350.00

Just north of 4 hours labour should do it.

    €900.00 should cover it.

Few my mates are driving beemers with tractor engines coupled with archaic gearboxes (manuals). Some drive e90, some e60 but all with same engine - 2.0

All of them have had a pleasure of footing a dual mass/clutch replacing bill. clutch+flywheel kit is around €560.00 and labor in polish/lithuanian/russian garage €150.00. Coleague of mine also had this issue on his BMW diesel and an irish garage in West Ireland did the job for €800.00 (parts + labour).
Quotes for labor + parts they were getting from Atlas, and likes were €1300.00

I think what you meant to say in this forum is that "german diesel engines are very refined and DMFs rarely fail these days" ;););).

Could you PM me recommended suppliers to do it for this kind of price please? Based in Dublin, ideally Tallaght if possible!

I wouldn't consider letting anyone other than Valdas look after my 320d.

He's in the western industrial estate off the Naas road.
