I got married last April and advise the tax office of this in May 2015.

Can someone please highlight the Tax credits myself and OH should receive for 2016?

    Checked here:
    http://www.revenue.ie/en/tax/it/leaflets/it1.html

We are both PAYE employees so my understanding is:

Married Person or Civil Partner €3300 x 1
    PAYE Employee Tax Credit €1650 x 2

€6600 total tax credit between us or am I incorrect?
I checked our P60s for 2015 and we both were taxed as single people (as per their advise)

Im unsure if we are due a refund if we had being taxed as "one" due to the change in tax credits

You have to elect to split your married credit and your standard rate band, Or else revenue give the single credit to both of ye ( it's half a married credit...) and the srcob to the higher earning spouse.

You could only be taxed as single during your year of Marriage. Drop a note via my enquiries looking for a year of Marriage Review. It will determine if anything is due for 2015.

It all depends on how much both of you are earning and if there is any unused credits or rate band to transfer between each other which may be of benefit to one spouse.

Are both of you under the threshold of €33800 or both over it? It so, there is no need to split credits or cut off. If one is over and one under, you should split them. PM me with figures if you want advise on how to split and don't want to put your salary here.
