Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Clone Wars and Rebels

    Hi,
I remember watching a clone wars series (regular animated) from about 10 years back and was 2 DVDs and quite good actually - now
I see there is about 7 seasons (130 episodes  ) of a "new" series (CGI).

I also see there is a more recent series called Rebels and Vader features in it.

They both seem good and I think is Disney approved Canon, but it's a lot to watch,
Are they worth the investment or is there a highlights reel I could condense it into :)
    - best/most important episodes.

    Cheers

You probably watched the cartoon one, rather than the CGI one, I assume? I'm working my way through Clone Wars now. I'm on Season 3. I do think it's supposed to get better after this, as I'd prefer a more overarching story rather than some of the disjointed episodes that I'm currently getting through. It's a good show, and has some great episodes, but I'm looking forward to getting into the later seasons where I hear things pick up.

I've watched about four seasons of clone wars, some of it is very good but some of it is a bit painful to watch and I skipped some episodes, some with the droids and jar jar, supposedly gets very good for season 5 and 6 but I still didn't get around to watching them. That spun out of the clone wars animated film which was released.

Rebels is on it's second season and I've seen about three quarters of the episodes, it started off a bit slow but finding it enjoyable. I can't picture it getting as dark as clone wars, it seems to be aimed at a younger audience. That's on disney XD if you have a sky bundle, afaik clone wars was on netflix US, not sure about the Irish one. Expensive enough if you were thinking about buying DVDs.

There's also the LEGO Star Wars series, it originally aired on the Cartoon Network channel but moved to Disney in 2014. I doubt very much that it's canon but it's highly entertaining.
