Just looking for a bit of advice, I had a problem with my washing machine last year and decided to take out an extended warranty to cover the repair. The guy came and after about 2 weeks it was finally fixed. Required new drum and other bits. After fitting it and all the next day i used it there was leaking from underneath... He then came back the next day and "fixed" it again. I didn't think anything of it really and the leak disappeared so I was happy..

The washing machine has been fixed again a few times (actually just 10 days ago different issue). Anyway in preparation for him coming tomorrow he asked me to take it out so its ready for him so I decided to take the back cover off and have a look and I'm a bit annoyed about what appears to be the previous repair. There is this black rubbery substance that has literally been thumbed all over the area where the back of the drum connects to the belt. This "fix" has obviously given up and now the water was literally running down and onto the electrical components below!! I was wondering why my main sockets fuse was tripping on quite regular intervals...

Apart from being a shoddy fix it was very dangerous. Obviously with the vibrations it was eventually going to do this. Was just looking for some opinions on how to handle it?

    Cheers

If the warranty is covered by the shop or manufacturer and your not happy with the standard of repair, then ring and explain the situation, the bad state of the repair and that you want a different service person to look at it
