Yes. They use a company in Lurgan to do the plating and Sprint do the rest and if its galvanising you're after then look no further!

There is a huge difference between Zinc Plating and Galvanising , the latter involves high temperatures and is generally used for fabricated steel items . Two other companies that might be worth a call are Graph Engineering in Glasnevin and Schlotter in Co. Kildare .

As I said there is a huge difference between Galvanising and Zinc plating and the companies you contacted are Galvanising specialists.
Galvanising is basically dipping a component in a bath of molten metal and then allowing the excess to drip off . Zinc plating is electroplating using and anode and cathode in a bath with a very low current passed through an electrolyte .
Have you considered using a Zinc plating kit at home ? The kits are not expensive especially if it is something you will use on an ongoing basis and the results are very impressive .There are a few companies in the UK who supply a range of electroplating kits .

PITA ...i bought a kit from Caswell..it did work but you really need a barrel to do it properly imo...

The plating kits are fine for smaller pieces tbh. I zinc plated a fuel rail, injector collars, rad cap, and other assorted bits and bobs in the engine bay, and it worked out well using buckets and basins - even the fuel rail that had to be rotated and run through the process twice on account of it's size.
