Family Estate - Widening the Search

    Looking for suggestion of Family Estate Cars.

    Have been looking (without much luck) and our preferred type of car is VW Passat / Skoda Octavia, Diesel 1.9 +, 2010 + with new revised Budget of €17.5k Max.

    Need to widen the Search I think so am open to suggestions.

    How does the Audi A4 compare or should we be looking at the A6 instead ? Or Toyota Avensis ? Mazda 6 ? All opinions welcome.

    Major consideration for us is Boot Space with the kids and the upcoming trip to France on the Ferry in the summer.

    We have been looking and maybe we are not fast enough making up our minds as 2 cars we liked were sold the day after we viewed them.

    Have been down to the Ballymount Triangle and have been scared off. Also really liked a UK Import to discover it had a mileage discrepancy.

    We had been confining ourselves to Dealers - should we widen to Private Sales ?
