Van master key stops working!?

    Hi all. Got a weird problem with my van.

    Bought 3 months ago, new test, master key, no spare.

    Running fine, serviced by my regular & trusted recently, zipping about lovely jubely.

    Get a spare cut the other day, only works the doors, not a move on the ignition.

    Get in to head off and the master key, not a thing wrong with it before, slides in as usual but not the slightest move in the barrel!?!

    Has anyone ever seen or heard the like before?
    It's not that it won't do the last step and start it, or that it's been acting strange recently, but simply that without any previous problem, suddenly now the master key won't turn AT ALL.

    Any knowledge/experience on this would be brilliant.Particularly as I'm back on a push bike till I get it sorted ; )
