What is the thinnest floor insulation that still works?

Doing a refurbishment and the floors are concrete slab with no insulation. We'd love to add insulation but don't have much height to work with. Two questions:

    1) What is the thinnest type of floor insulation available that would perform to a decent standard and is there something that could be put down without needing another screed on top of it ready to be covered by timber flooring or tiles?

    2) If we just leave the floor uninsulated but have insulated walls and ceilings will there be any issue with thermal bridging or is it grand (i.e. comfortable but just not as energy efficient?)

    Thanks

The thinnest one I came across is Opium-R by Kingspan. Haven't used it so can' comment; but am considering I for 1 or 2 rooms where I am stuck for height. I believe it is 2 to 3 times if not more the price of Kingspan's PIR boards (e.g. K3)

How much height have you to work with? Most of the insulation companies have a technical depth that will be happy to help and run some calcs for you.

I've seen 'Aerogel' mentioned here on boards quite a bit and I think you can get that in a blanket form, but I've never seen it. Worth looking at that.

I'd recommend trying to get some down if you can - I presume you don't have UFH? But you may still have thermal bridging at the foot of the walls as you can't the insulation in 'under' them.

The Opium-R I believe is approx €100/m2 as I priced it recently for a job, I did not end up using it due to cost. Also I am not sure if it can take the weight of the floor ie its compressive strength. It may loose its insulating value if compressed?? You would need to check all that out.
