Just wondering what would the average cost for a complete refurbishment of a 2 bed semi detached house. This would include new carpeting/flooring, paint, furniture, kitchen, bathroom fittings, windows and external doors. It would all be to a standard finish.

I am currently looking at purchasing a property and I would like to know if it is a viable option. Thanks.

Any construction works or is it just a fit out with fixtures and fittings?

No construction works. This is just a preliminary estimate before pursuing any properties further. If any structural work is required, like the removal of walls, I would cost that separately.

Totally depends on taste. You could go to bargain town and floor the whole house for 1k. Kitchen, ikea etc or you could spend 12k on the kitchen alone!

Yes, I understand that. I am just looking for a guide to typical costs for a standard finish, nothing extravagant and not bottom of the barrel. I'm finding it difficult to gauge what costs would be involved from the outset.

Is there some sort of guide to costs online, without going into the finer details of picking specific carpets, kitchen cabinets etc?
