Frustrated with ITBS

    Hi all,

So I've had millions (well maybe not millions but a lot!) of physio sessions for ITBS resulting in pain in my right knee last year. I managed to correct it, ran Galway half last October and the problem switched to my left side.
Resumed physio, yoga (well ROMWOD but yoga poses for ITB, hip mobility), have been doing crossfit a year to strengthen hips and glutes and was managing to get 11/12 miles pain free with maybe a slight twinge after that but nothing excruciating.

Today.. Ran clon half... ITBS came on me *BOTH* sides 7 miles in... Did my best to ignore it with stopping every so often to stretch etc and finished 2.05. I'm so frustrated with this now though.

Has anyone tried anything for ITBS that has worked? I will literally try anything at this point as I thought I was on track training for the Cork full...

Have you taken sufficient time off to let it heal? Also can you give an example of the type of hip strength work you were doing?
