Dog Poo!

    Hey Folks,

I'm looking for a little advice on a dog poo situation. The issue is that one of the folks in my estate has two medium sized dogs that are let out daily to relieve themselves wherever they please. I've had poo in my garden, in the flowerbed immediately outside the house and they constantly use the large green in front of the houses.
You couldn't walk without any cares in the world as it's extremely likely you'll step in some crap. I feel it's irresponsible of their owner as the area has lots of kids who are out all the time playing on the green which is full of their dog crap.

What's the best way to resolve the issue with them. Just for the record they are a non-national so I could struggle with some language/cultural issues.

    Thanks.

Had a lab coming down my road to poop outside my house, he was very friendly, so I bagged one up and tied it to his collar. Hasn't happened in a while, still don't know who owns him.

I've done similar, with a note attached saying "your dog left this in my garden, I thought you might like it back" :o
Op, you could just ask them to clean up after their dogs. Or call the Warden who may call to their house to warn them in a more official capacity.

You can get stuff called 'Dog Off' which is a jelly like stuff that you could put in your flowerbeds to keep the dog out of them. My mum uses this in her front garden to stop a dog up the road coming in and pooping, and she also uses it in the flowerbeds in the back garden, because her own dog likes to try and dig up any newly planted flowers!

I love the idea of the poop tied to the collar!

Had a lovely morning on portmarnock beach, kids were building sand castles, people were swimming, and dogs having a splash. I noticed a woman in her thirty's stopped for a while looking at her phone, in her other hand was a dog leash, the dog at the other end was doing a number 2. It took a little while and when it was finished the owner seemed to be finished with her phone ,and walked on. When I got to the spot where the dog was I could see the poo and called out several times to the woman that her dog had pooed. Eventually she turned , walked back a few steps and shouted, that's not my dogs. How can people be so ignorant.
