    Just got onto this years GLAS scheme but would told if you kept some sheep you could get your farm all fenced. Can someone tell me more on this as didnt apply for this as only after hearing about it

    This is news to me, unless you're talking about coppicing a hedge and using that as a fence? Even then, you'd have to pay for someone to cut the hedge but you would get paid for carrying out that 'measure'

    I think it's Tams 2 that the fencing is in. Glas is all environmental and wildlife stuff.

    hi, it was the guy who was doing the plan up for me said that, so no fencing covered no matter what animals you have.

    can you do Glas and Tams

    Yeah you can apply to both. Glas pays you to carry out the various measures you sign up to. Tams pays a 40% grant on the cost of certain on farm investments up to the reference costs. there's an extra 20% under Tams for young trained farmers.
