No not a sniff of a response, rang to get an idea of when might get approved/rejected and was told it could be months yet.

Tempted to just plough ahead and forget about the grant.

At this rate of progression Ive a feeling a lot of the hystria about tams2 is just propaganda.

That's fu€king ridiculous. I was hoping to submit the application next week, aiming to have a shed built for next winter. Looks like that's not going to happen.

I'm the same as u , the application for tams 11 is fierce confusing , anyone who did there selves I say well done , I'd consider myself fairly handy with a computer and form filling but I filled it out just before the first round closed and a lad rang me from the Dep saying they would t accept what I sent in so I got Tegasc to do for me , so second round I'm waiting for closing next month

Ya, doing it myself. The agfood portal is open for submission but says it's closing in the 25th of September 2015 lol

    Doc,

What did teagasc do differently for you? Had you stuff wrong in the reference costs? A pure balls of a process to calculate the cost of the shed.

Has anyone who applied for a shed in Tranche 1 received approval yet?

I applied before closing date in October. Had some contact from dept last week regarding the validation of the application. The lady said they will pass to inspectors and expect it to be at least April before would hear back from them.

    No word so called them
Lady told me it was valid and should receive approval in March,
    Some fcuking joke

Well after 8 months waiting got approval under tams for shed modification begining of july. Now 6 weeks later after getting quotes etc got another letter today saying that after reviewing my application am now unapproved as measurements of old shed wrong but nothing wrong 6 weeks ago luckily havent started yet. Have 10 days to sort out problem. So might tell them what they can do with it.

What do they mean by dimensions are incorrect do either of yas know? Out of interest have yous got quotes for grant against non grant spec? The rule of thumb cost per sq ft of a grant spec shed around here is 6e, I've seen non grant spec portal sheds on done deal for 3e/sq ft. I know some of the companies who make these kit sheds are hoping to be grant approved in Oct or so, should bring more competition to the grant approved sheds. Also the drop in Stg has made sheds from the north more competitive lately.

The measurements are external dimensions not internal dimensions it says due to standard slat width etc but passageway a bit wider than norm to get extra storage needed so internal dimensions right Also need clarifaction that tank is mass concrete walls. The problem arises this job has to be done for winter to get bedded area for organic status also what if i had already started job on streanth of first approval would i get paid.If it was a big job you could get into alot of financal trouble if they unapproved you at any time.

So you provided internal dimensions instead of external? Or you didn't clarify which?

you need to clarify on the plans what the internal dimensions are, it has to be the internal dims of the creep, slats apron etc, be careful that they add to up to the area/volumes indicated in your application

5 mins to put dimensions on drawing, email to local office, bobs your uncle approval letter issued again next day

went through it myself a few weeks ago,

also for pouring tanks you have to give 5 working days notice before pouring walls, there is a card A form you fill in on line
