Permanent Molds for Metal Casting

    Hey there,

I've been getting into aluminium mold casting for making parts and tools and whatnot, using lost foam and green sand processes. The only problem is that it's highly time consuming, especially when wanting to cast the same part a few times.

Does anyone know if there's anywhere in Ireland that can make permanent molds out of steel or iron?

    Thanks.

I'd presume a local engineering business in your area could help .wouldnt be cheap though

That's what I was thinking, would be pretty pricey, was hoping there was a business dedicated to it, maybe in the UK?

Have you a detailed drawing or model you can show? Could maybe give a bit more guidance if I see what it is-Also quantities are important

By the way in Bray there is or was a fair few toolmakers who could help you!!
