    Hi all,

Need to fill in a P50 on behalf of my girlfriend who lost her job before Xmas. As neither of us having been through this before would appreciate any advice.

One issue is that she doesn't have the employer number. It should be on the P45 but she got back the old style one and it didn't include part 1 where I believe the employer number should be. Had tried contacting her employer but she is getting the runaround. Is there any other way to get this information ?

Also does anyone know on average the time it might take between submitting the form and the refund being made ?

    thanks in advance...

The employer number should be on any of her payslips.

Form P50 no longer required as it's a new tax year since January 1St. Form P50 is only for an active tax year.

All she needs to do is login to her PAYE Anytime account and request a P21 balancing statement for 2015. Any refund due will issue automatically.

Will the same applies to me?

I've been made redundant in October 2016 and I'm still unemployed. The tax advisor hired by my previous company suggested me to fill a P50 form. I have waited 8 weeks after my last day at work before sending it on the 9th of january 2017.
Yesterday I called my local Revenue office asking for an update and the lady at the phone told me that I don't need to send a P50 but to fill online the eForm 12.

    Many thanks
