I applied for the Cadets a While back and failed the maths test. I am really poor a maths but need to get better to pass the test the next time I apply. Does anyone know where I could find similar maths tests or books I could use to practice? Any material at all would be help. Even though I took the test I cannot remember the kinda of questions asked as it was a few years ago.

Initiative is something you will be expected to have as a military officer. A simple internet search would have given you the answer.

Any large bookshop, such as easons, will have numerical psychometric textbooks for sale.

Alternatively, google 'numerical psychometric tests' for an endless amount of samples and options to purchase.

Well thank you for your answer but I have already done what you have suggested. I have already bought over 14 books and printed out lots of material. I was hoping for someone who could maybe point me to a Military book for the Irish Military, as the Americans and British armies already have one. ( Yes I purchased both already) I am almost positive I would get into the Cadets as long as I could get over that maths test. I got high scores in everything else last time I'm just incredibly poor with numbers.
So there is plenty of initiative. I was just hoping for something more substantial...this is kinda similar too what you want.

    Than you for your answer.

No such book exists to my knowledge.

There are specific companies who seem to offer 'preparation courses' for these type of competitions, although I do not know if it is primarily focused on the interview. Perhaps they may be able to point you in the right direction.

Numerical reasoning is all about speed and accuracy. If you practice enough you're ability will improve. If you have bought 14 books you should be well able to improve your score.

I wouldn't be so sure that 14 books were bought. He is bad at numbers remember.
