Massey 135 Lift

    Hi,

I am in the process of trying to restore a MF 135. I have the lift cover off at the moment. The tractor had a lift issue whereby if there was a transport box attached and the lift was raised it would go up but then would drop. If the lift lever was was pulled up another bit the lift would raise again and remain up. This problem wouldn't happen all the time.

I have replaced the rings on the hydraulic piston even though the old ones look fine. I will replace the O rings on the stand pipe also. Is there anything else I should replace.

Also I was advised to get the lift set. What does this involve. I was told that specialist tools and weights are needed. Is this set with the lift cover off or everything assembled.

I got the MF 135 finished. I turned out well. Hardest thing now is to try and stop it from rusting again.
