New horizon box, old router

Just got the new Horizon box, and set it up. TV fine but no web or phone. SO I plugged in the old router and the phone and web are fine from that.

So questions are, will things stay as they are or will Virgin force me on to everything through the Horizon box. In other words is it still being set up and will I lose my router at some stage.

Am I better with the set-up as it is, bearing in mind the problems I have heard with Horizon wifi.

Do I need to return the old Thomson box to Virgin? This was never made clear in my chats with the Philippines!

Any views? Am happy to keep them separate if the broadband is better that way

If all is working fine, I'd stick with your old router and keep it separate.

    Horizon wifi signal is abysmal.

If the old box doesn't do pause/rewind/ record, they don't take it back.
