If road tax of €710 and a thirsty 2ltr petrol engine don't bother you it looks like a decent car. There's not too many 9 year old, 1 owner from new with full service history Irish cars out there. Bit of advice though, contact all dealers who serviced car to check records are genuine, I've seen some forged service histories lately.

Dealer is ok, been around a while and sells lots of cars.

This engine better reliability than a 2ltr petrol Saab 95?
    I would prefer a diesel v70 but €1080 tax!!!!

    Volvo D5 diesels are bulletproof.

Calculate how much mileage you're making, multiply by the consumption and price of fuel for both options. The difference might offset the difference in tax.

Yea I did that, based on 8000miles (I'll probably do a good bit more)
€916 worth of diesel based on 40mpg
€1450 worth of petrol based on 30mpg
