Don't be worried about the "banggood" web site name, it's a non-adult Chinese gadget site!

Very tempted for $25.69 with free shipping, but imagine its use is legally dubious !
A guard stopped me (at a random checkpoint) in my old Toyota Celica because it had led window washer spray nozzles.

Pity, I can see myself scrolling a "Smile tailgator, you're on a gps dashcam" on the M1.

I'd love to just have one message on it "Turn Off Your Front Foglights"...the hours of fun I could have.

I'd have so much fun with this on the m50 .

"Get out of the middle ****ing lane"

However I could see it bringing lots of unwanted attention from the gardai

Perhaps the Garda Traffic Corps might consider fitting and using this kind of technology for use on our motorways?

    "Please drive in lane 1".

"Please do not overtake on the left".

    "Please use appropriate lighting".

    "Up the Banner".

    That sort of thing.

dont some of of the british motorway police and customs have displays like that they normally use to tell cars to pull over or trucks to follow them to hgv and customs check points

German Autobahn police certainly use them in that way.

Irish Customs used one when they wanted me to pull into the hard shoulder to check for green diesel a few years ago. I presume they still use them.

I was following behind a Garda jeep in the Port Tunnel a few years back and it flashed a Slow Down message.

Fairly sure its use to be illegal, as it's a non-certified, non standard lighting device. Also, it could be well argued that it represents a distraction for other drivers - lastly, I am not sure if the use of such devices is restricted to law enforcement / public services, maybe somebody here can be more specific.

    Ehrm...driving around in a Christmas Tree? :D

Hope that dashcam has a microphone, for when I install a 2000W speaker carefully hidden inside the engine compartment, and blast "And you get out of the feckin' overtaking lane!" back :D
