    triton t90 si,
    Hi all.. hope your well.
can you please give me hand.

I have the brilliant T90 si pump shower. (i love this shower, its power is just great & its not to noisy.).
I've had 1 or 2 little problems ie.. water drip when off..=sol' valve... no water when on..=pump bushes..

but over a nice time (good few months) not every time when shower is used, but sometimes..
when im in the shower it can go from nice temperture to cold. only for 10 secs or so. then back to nice.. so on- cold..

ive cleaned the filter. ive cleaned the head (were the water comes out).

ive read a few other post on here that it could be a damaged hose. (im going to get a new 1, when i can get to b&q).

we live in a hard water area. the kettle every 2months needs a clean out, i only need to use a cloth to do this & its like chalky powder, but if left its like a grit.

if this is in a 3year old kettle, can my 5year old t90 si boiler / heater can be clogged up with this limescale.?
wood this help my water go nice - cold - nice - cold.....?
can i remove this bolier / heater can & wash it out & re-asemble back in.?

if yes it pos' is it easy to remove from the shower unit & re-asemble.?

    thanks all for any hellp.
    talk to u soon.

Your shower is not 5 years old. Its 9 to 15 years old. They stopped making this model in 2007. They stopped manufacturing parts for this, shower 2 years ago. It is most definitely the element is caked with limescale. I'm sure others will post here about descaling the element but I'd say yours is too far gone.
I have to agree with you it's one of the best electric showers ever made. It's a pity that they discontinued it

The head could be caked with limescale inside. Triton give a key to open the head with some models but not sure about the si. I had the exact same problem in my last house, chronic limescale and I used to open the head and use an earring to loosen the limescale in the head jets and then just rinse. If you can't get yours open, just get some kind of descaler or even dishwasher salt and leave the head in it overnight.
What's happening is the shower is doing everything right, but if the head is badly blocked, the water can't escape quick enough and remains in the heating chamber for too long. It then gets too hot and a thermostat senses this and cuts power to the heater, resulting in the water going cold. This is to prevent scalding. Once it's flushed with cold water it will start to hear again but with a blocked head the whole process starts again........
I fit bathrooms for a living and have solved this problem many times, and the customer thought they needed a new shower.

    hi ya sleeper12 - pk27,
    thanks for your reply's...much apperciated.

i dont no i had the unit that long, i brought it new from a bathroom shop (think it was in co' clare) but ive changed the head once or twice due to braking them trying to clear out the limescale.
got a triton head that i can take apart now, its got just a basic screw holding it together.

but ye..i clean out the filter every 6 weeks & the head 2months -ish & like you say it works a lot better. i dont use any de-scale stuff.

thanks both for your help & reply.
(sorry for late reply back to you'.)
