Anyone got a view on the Nissan Note. Is it suitable for longer drives; same day round trips +400k? Looks quite small.

more of a city car. aimed at the family market, but not a lot of space in them. Wouldnt fancy a long round trip in it.

I test drove the petrol and diesel last year. It was a miserable experience for each ten min run.

The seats are bad, not good for long journeys. Gearbox is guesswork and not much poke.

Its spacious though, and generally nice inside, aside from the seats.

My parents have an 07 1.4 SVE Petrol Note since new, I've drove it for about a year myself.

Excellent car - loads of room inside, loads of cubby space and boot is great. Engine is surprisingly economic - trip computer says near 50mpg on motorway journeys, probably 35-40 mpg for city driving.

Hasn't given an ounce of trouble since new...

Can't comment on the newer ones - 1.2L 3 cylinder? Would be sceptical.
