I dropped into a local PC shop. Said he can't unlock my HTC as they are 'impossible' to unlock. I bought it off someone else, and it's locked to 3 network. Any way around this? Thanks.

This. You can do it all online. It will take them about a week. Or pay around 20 euro on www.unlock.ie

I got my son's HTC One (Vodafone) unlocked as he's on Meteor through eBay it cost around €5 and unlocked in 10 mins.

None of the places I tried via ebay or otherwise were able to provide a code. Got it done via unlock.ie for €12 in the end. Other places quoted €30 and needing my phone for an hour!!!!!!
